The new Express Hogwarts from the Harry Potter series is revealed on video

Spoiler: it looks a lot like the previous one.

A magic wind already blows on the future Harry Potter series by HBO. A new video of the Leavesden Studios sets in the United Kingdom has just arisen online and reveals a very familiar decor: the legendary Hogwarts Express.

Shared on X, this first behind the scenes shows the emblematic red train which will transport the sorcerer’s apprentices from the King’s Cross road to Pré-au-laARD. Obviously, it will have more or less the same look as that of the films.

This video also suggests the first steps of the new Harry, Ron and Hermione trio in front of the camera, they who will be gathered for the first time during their inaugural trip to the Sorcerer’s school.

On the casting side, HBO puts on a mixture of young revelations and big names. Dominic McLaughlin will put on Harry’s round glasses, Alastair Stout will be Ron, and Arabella Stanton will play Hermione. To guide them – or torment them – we will find John Lithgow in Dumbledore, Janet McTeer in McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu in Snape, Nick Frost in Hagrid, Lox Pratt in Draco Malfoy, or Rory Wilmot in Neville. The distribution also includes Bel Powley, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Flynn, Katherine Parkinson, and many others in the iconic roles of the saga.

Behind the camera, the Francesca Gardiner showrunner (Killing Eve, succession) pilots this ambitious adaptation, supported by Mark Mylod to the realization. The project will spread over ten seasons and promises to revisit JK Rowling’s books in their entirety.

First incantation scheduled for early 2027 on HBO Max in France.
