Seven years after Angry Birds: Friends and Pigs, Red and his friends take flight again.

Almost 20 years after its release on your old mobile (yes, it was in 2009), angry Birds is still there. And the license will attempt a comeback in the cinema this winter.

The first two films generated $500 million in worldwide box office revenue and more than 1.5 million admissions in France. But it’s already been seven years sinceAngry Birds: Friends Like Pigs was released in theaters. Paramount today revealed the trailer forAngry Birds 3: The Great Flightwho will try to bring Red and his friends back to the forefront.

They return for a new mission that promises its share of surprises. This time, Red will discover that saving Bird Island was perhaps ultimately easier… than raising a family! This new adventure will explore family relationships and the clash of generations, while tackling universal and moving themes. New powers and heroic moments will also be there for Red’s children, enough to make spectators of all ages flutter once again“, specifies the studio.

The synopsis adds: “This holiday season, an Angry Bird will have to face his greatest challenge: surviving fatherhood… while saving the world!”

Written by Thurop Van Orman and directed by John Rice, the film Angry Birds 3: The Great Flight will be released in cinemas on December 23 in France.
