Kristen Stewart changes register and goes into crazy thriller mode with The Wrong Girls Presented in several festivals, the film unveils its first completely smashed trailer. Directed by Dylan Meyer, Kristen Stewart’s companion in the city, this acid comedy promises a hell of a trip.
For her first feature film, the filmmaker puts Kristen Stewart in the shoes of Frankie, a broke young woman who hangs out with her best friend Molly, played by Alia Shawkat. The two roommates live from odd jobs to odd jobs… until the day they come across a mysterious substance backstage at a concert hall. After consuming it, their daily life completely changes. Frankie notably begins to chat with… a cat called Dio, voiced by Seth Rogen. And this is only the beginning of a succession of events as absurd as they are delirious, against a backdrop of misunderstanding which will plunge the two friends into total chaos.
The very exciting cast also brings together LaKeith Stanfield, Kumail Nanjiani, Tony Hale, Geena Davis, Kate McKinnon, Cate Blanchett and Zack Fox, in a gallery of characters, each more eccentric than the last.
With its crazy humor, its psychedelic aesthetic and its Kristen Stewart / Alia Shawkat duo, The Wrong Girls promises to be one of the most atypical comedies of the summer.
