Harry Potter: the new trailer takes us back to Hogwarts
The HBO Max series reveals new images from the television remake.
A new year at Hogwarts begins!
HBO Max has just revealed a brand new Harry Potter trailer, which takes us back to first grade.
After a first trailer unveiled in March, this new video offers a more complete overview of the series which, obviously, will be aesthetically very (very) close to the films.
We thus discover the young wizard in the Great Hall of the school, lit by a thousand candles suspended in the air, begging the Sorting Hat not to send him to Slytherin. We witness his first botany lessons, his growing interest in Quidditch and his confrontation with the troll in the dungeons.
The trailer also allows us to see more of Janet McTeer (Ozark) as Professor McGonagall and Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You) as Snape. McGonagall quickly becomes a sort of mentor to Harry, even if she remains particularly strict with him. For his part, Snape immediately displays his contempt for the young wizard. During a potions class, he says: “Let’s hope you show some talent on the Quidditch pitch, Potter. You certainly haven’t shown any here.” Atmosphere.
The official HBO Max synopsis describes: “There’s nothing special about Harry Potter, or at least that’s what his aunt Petunia keeps telling him. But on his 11th birthday, a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry opens Harry the doors to a hidden world of magic, friendship, and adventure. However, this new life comes with great dangers, as Harry must face an enemy formidable from his past.”
