Discover the first images from Le Charles, the new French thriller from Prime Video which takes place aboard the famous French aircraft carrier.
A murder, a disappearance and a killer somewhere among the 2,000 crew members of a French aircraft carrier: The Charles promises to transform the Charles-de-Gaulle into a veritable open-air lock-up.
This new French series reveals its first images today, with Élodie Yung (Daredevil, The Cleaning Lady) and Alban Lenoir (Lost Ball, Antigang) headlining.
The pitch is exciting: “The aircraft carrier Charles-de-Gaulle has just set sail for a strategic mission in the eastern Mediterranean, where the situation is explosive. But shortly after departure, a woman from the crew is found dead and another missing. Despite the danger, the operation continues and a military investigator is urgently dispatched on board. When a new victim is discovered, the “Charles”, a real floating city of 1,800 men and 240 women, becomes a trap where a killer, tensions and events will endanger the crew and perhaps even the country.”
The killer must be somewhere on the ship. And no one can get out of it.
The series will also bring together Patrick Mille (The Count of Monte Cristo, Black Hearts) with Jacques Gamblin, and also Constance Labbé, Antoine Gouy, Bruno Sanches, Saabo Baldé, Hubert Delattre, Vincent Heneine and Pablo Pauly.
Produced by Next Episode, a subsidiary of the UGC group, Le Charles has 6 episodes of 52 minutes.
The series was created by Henri Debeurme and Mathilde Arnaud, with the collaboration of Yoann Legave, and directed by Julien Despaux, already behind Paris Police 1900.
The Charles will be available on October 23 on Prime Video, before being broadcast on M6 a few months later.
