Kristen Bell denies receiving 60 million for Frozen 3
“Didn’t that seem absurd to you when you read that amount?”
60 million dollars to reprise the voice of Anna in Frozen 3 and 4 ?
This seems excessive… According to several American media, Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Josh Gad (Olaf) each negotiated a deal worth 60 million dollars for Frozen 3 And Frozen 4a total of 180 million for the flagship trio of the animated saga of The Walt Disney Company. In detail, the American press put forward the figure of 20 million dollars per film (each) in base fee, supplemented by bonuses linked to the box office, for a total which should be more than 60 million dollars. A sum supposed to be spread over several years, and not paid all at once.
But Kristen Bell denies it outright on Sunday evening. Present at the Actor Awards and interviewed by Entertainment Tonight (see video below), the star of Nobody Wants This, who doubles Anna in the Disney films (in original version) has firmly denied these astronomical figures. Without revealing her real stamp, she assured that “A lot of things have been misreported about this Frozen deal. No, no, no, no, no, someone is making a lot of stuff up.”
The actress, however, qualifies: yes, she is happy to have this job and yes, the franchise is lucrative enough to pay its actors well. “Am I happy to have this job and is it very well paid because it’s a successful franchise? Yes. And I’m extremely grateful for that. I’ll continue to do it for the rest of my life if they want me.” But, visibly amused by the extent of the rumor, she retorts: “Didn’t that seem absurd to you when you read that amount? When I read it, I was like: ‘Wow, wow, what?'”
Frozen 3 will be released in France in November 2027 in cinemas.
