Lots of special moves in the new Street Fighter trailer
You’ll want to shout “Shōryūken”!
Hadoukens, Shōryūken and other circular kicks… Fans of Street Fighter are going to have a blast with this new supercharged trailer for the 2026 film, which focuses on the Ryu/Ken duo and promises an avalanche of fights and special moves emblematic of the video game.
After several trailers intended to present its XXL cast, the film directed by Kitao Sakurai returns to the fundamentals of the saga: the rivalry between Ryu and Ken, two formerly inseparable fighters who will find themselves face to face in the arena. An adaptation which clearly aims to convey all the energy of the franchise’s fights Street Fighter from the arcade screen to the big screen.
“In 1993, Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo), two once inseparable Street Fighters, are thrust back into the arena when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, destiny and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to confront each other, while facing the demons of their past… And if they fail, it’s GAME OVER!” details the synopsis.
Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li (should constitute the emotional heart of this new live-action adaptation, surrounded by many other emblematic characters from the saga.
In addition to the Andrew Koji / Noah Centineo / Callina Liang trio, the trailer also shows glimpses of Cody Rhodes as Guile, Orville Peck as Vega, 50 Cent as Balrog, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Oliver Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli and Alexander Volkanovski as Joe.
This new film Street Fighter will be released in theaters on October 14, 2026 in France.
