Markiplier’s phenomenon film arrives in France
After its success in the United States, Iron Lung arrives in French theaters.
Mark Edward Fischbach aka Markiplier, world-famous American Youtuber, releases his first film, Iron Lung.
A big box office success in the United States, the feature film earned $30.8 million in revenue for a budget of $3 million. Just behind we find the documentary on the First Lady, Melania, which benefited from a budget of 35 million dollars and generated only 18 million dollars in revenue. The Youtuber with 38 million subscribers financed the film himself.
Between horror and science fiction, Iron Lung is adapted from the eponymous game directed by David Szymanski and released in 2022.
A distressing behind closed doors which features the director in the main role, another videographer Seán McLoughlin aka Jacksepticeye, Caroline Rose Kaplan (The Plot Against America) and Troy Baker known for his roles in the franchise’s video games The Last of Us.
In February, the phenomenon Iron Lung finally arrives in French cinemas. As part of a new edition of the Youtube film club initiated by mk2, the film will be available in nearly 200 cinemas in France.
Synopsis: “The stars are no more. The planets have disappeared. Only a few individuals remain, aboard space stations or wandering ships. They survived to see the end — and give it a name: “The Silent Rapture.” After years of decline and crumbling infrastructure, the Iron Consolidation makes a discovery on a desolate moon, AT-5. An ocean of blood. The Iron Consolidation immediately launches an expedition, hoping to find crucial resources there. A submarine is built, and a convict is locked up inside. Due to the pressure and depth of the ocean, the submarine’s front porthole is hidden by a metal shield. If he gets out of this, he will gain his freedom. Otherwise, another will follow.”
