The HPI remake continues: season 3 of High Potential ordered

Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjata and Javicia Leslie will return.

HPI (High Intellectual Potential), which in recent years has broken audience records in France on the TF1 channel, is enjoying the same success across the Atlantic, with its remake!

Created by Drew Goddard and broadcast for the first time in September 2024, the series High Potential has just been renewed for a season 3. Boosted by a score of 86% favorable opinions on Rotten Tomatoes, the US version found its audience in America, by telling the same story, that of Morgan, a single mother of three children and cleaner at the Los Angeles Police Department, with an extravagant personality, who dons her investigator’s costume… Featuring With an IQ of 160, Morgan is spotted by Captain Selena, then hired as a consultant alongside a detective.

At its launch, the series had 13.24 million spectators and became the second most watched series in the first 5 weeks.

Change behind the scenes however. Executive producer Todd Hartan is leaving. He left the series to concentrate on another project, the adaptation of the first volume of Christopher Paolini’s series of novels, The Inheritance Cycle-L’Héritage. Fiction is therefore looking for a new showrunner…

While awaiting the announcement of the filming of the third season, the last episode of season 2 will be broadcast in mid-April in France on Disney +.
