The trailer for the new Spider-Man breaks all records!
Posted online on Wednesday, the trailer for Brand New Day is now the most viewed in the history of pop culture.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already making a place in entertainment history thanks to its trailer: posted online Wednesday morning, the first video of the Sony Pictures film, showing the return of Tom Holland opposite Zendaya, became the most viewed trailer of all time with 718.6 million views in 24 hours (all networks combined).
More than a record, a plebiscite. Because this trailer was almost double (!) the previous record, that of Deadpool & Wolverineblocked at 365 million views in 2024. Moreover, in just 8 hours, Brand New Day had already done better. Note that the BA of Deadpool & Wolverine had itself dethroned that of Spider-Man: No Way Home (355.5 million in 24 hours in 2021),
And the weaver crushes all of pop culture: beyond cinema, the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day even becomes the biggest trailer launch in history, all formats combined exceeding GTA6which until now held the absolute record with 475 million views in 24 hours.
So how can we explain such a tidal wave? Firstly, there is the increasingly massive use of networks – whatever they may be – around the world. The trans-generational popularity of the character. The star power of the Holland / Zendaya couple. And then Sony had perfectly timed its marketing plan by teasing this trailer for hours, with a shower of micro-excerpts broadcast the day before, creating a real global event around the final drop.
Obviously, with such hype, Spider-Man: Brand New Day moves towards summer, puffing out his chest. This massive distribution of the trailer already suggests a certain excitement among the public, a colossal desire to discover the film and a box office which should once again be gigantic.
Let us remember that SSpider-Man: No Way Home had peaked at $1.9 billion at the worldwide box office.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 29, 2026 in theaters in France.
