Video: The two heroes of Happy Days reunited 50 years later

Henry Winkler and Ron Howard reunited on stage at the Emmy Awards last night.

It’s not just Little House on the Prairie which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Also launched in 1974, the sitcom Happy Dayswhich chronicled life in America in the 50s, celebrated its birthday in style last night on the Emmy Awards stage.

Fonzie and Richie Cunningham found themselves around the jukebox at Arnold’s Drive-In, the restaurant where the teenagers from the series hung out. Henry Winkler And Ron Howardnow in their seventies, came together to present the award for Best Direction for a Comedy. They performed a short sketch to the sound of the cult theme song composed by Charles Fox and written by Norman Gimbel.

The series Happy Days lasted 11 seasons and over 250 episodes.
