VisionQuest: a broadcast date and the return of Ultron for the Marvel series

Paul Bettany will play the White Vision seen at the end of WandaVision. And everything doesn’t seem very simple in his head…

Postponed several times, the VisionQuest series finally has a broadcast date on Disney+. Next October 14 will therefore be the beginning of the end of this chapter of the Marvel universe, in direct continuity with WandaVision and to a lesser extent Agatha All Along. Paul Bettany will be back in an altered version of his character, a White Vision seen at the end of WandaVision, who is no longer quite the one the public knew: endowed with his memories but deprived of the emotions which gave them meaning, he tries to understand what it means to be human without ever having really been one. The series is visibly introspective, since according to the images revealed yesterday during a presentation organized by Disney, we see the character in his human form, going through his own memories as we would watch a film, reports The Wrap.

Paul Bettany already mentioned this mental dimension recently, explaining that “what’s fun is that we’re finally going to see what the inside of Vision’s mind looks like, and it’s much more cluttered than you might think (…) He clearly spent his time saving, copying and pasting in AI form the people he met to keep them alive in his head. “. But among these presences, there is one that requires special precautions: “One of them obviously needs to be locked behind a particularly solid firewall, because he is a psychopath. But Ultron is very intelligent. »

Because VisionQuest will mark the return of the villain from Avengers 2, played again by James Spader, who insinuates himself into Vision’s mind. The series also puts Wanda and Vision’s children at the center of the story. Ruaridh Mollica will play an adult version of Tommy, whose fate remained uncertain after the events of WandaVision. The disappearance of the two children when the Westview spell was lifted seemed final, but Agatha All Along has since revealed that Billy had found a new body, and that Tommy’s soul would also have been transferred elsewhere.

A lot for a single series? Certainly, but let’s give VisionQuest the opportunity to surprise us, in a good way.
