What is Tom Holland and Zendaya’s favorite Spider-Man movie?
The two stars named their favorite episode of the MCU saga… and they totally agree.
In full promotion of Spider-Man: Brand New DayTom Holland and Zendaya returned to the three previous parts of the Spider-Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe during a video for Letterboxd (see below). The opportunity for the actors to reveal the one they consider to be the best of the trilogy.
Without hesitation, Zendaya designated Spider-Man: Homecoming :
“This is my favorite from the first trilogy. It’s my comfort film, it’s warm, it always makes me feel good when I see it again“, explains the actress.
A choice immediately approved by Tom Holland, who also believes that the first opus retains a special place in the saga:
“Among superhero movies, there isn’t one like Homecoming. It’s truly a unique film.”he said, while Jacob Batalon recalled that the famous sequence of “Spider-Man in a hoodie” had become “a classic“.
This discussion arose from reading a viewer review qualifying Spider-Man: Homecoming of John Hughes-style introductory comedy, as funny as it is touching, while saluting its more intimate and character-centered approach. A comment to which Tom Holland simply responded soberly: “All credit goes to Jon Watts.”
The filmmaker directed the first three films in the MCU saga dedicated to Peter Parker: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home And Spider-Man: No Way Home. For Spider-Man: Brand New DayMarvel Studios entrusted the production to Destin Daniel Cretton.
Expected in theaters on July 29, 2026 in France, this fourth opus will follow Peter Parker after the events of No Way Home.
