Zack Snyder's Twilight of the Gods series announces itself in a magnificent teaser

A spectacular new exploration of Nordic mythology to see at the start of the school year.

After his Rebel Moon in two parts, Zack Snyder is preparing its return to Netflix in a totally different genre. Presented at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Twilight of the Gods is announced in this magnificent first teaser, which promises a bloody animated series, inspired by Nordic mythology. Along the way we discover the broadcast date.

Twilight of the Gods will be released on September 19 on Netflix and will offer a spectacular new animated exploration of Norse mythology. “In a mythical world of great battles, great deeds and despair, Leif, a mortal king, is saved in battle by Sigrid, an iron-willed warrior with whom he falls in love. On their wedding night, Sigrid and Leif survive the terrifying wrath of Thor and are drawn, along with a team of crusaders, into a merciless mission against all odds. This heroic tale of love, loss, and revenge is a journey to hell and beyond…through fantastical lands, ruthless and bloody battlefields, and wars waged against gods and demons” details Netflix.

In the cast, we will hear Sylvia Hoeks (Sigrid), Stuart Martin (Leif), Rahul Kohli (Egill), Paterson Joseph (Loki), Jamie Clayton (Seid-Kona), Pilou Asbæk (Thor), Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (Hervor), Kristofer Hivju (Andvari), Thea Sofie Loch Næss (Thyra), John Noble (Odin) and Peter Stormare (Ulfr).

Co-creation of Zack SnyderJay Oliva and Eric Carrasco, the series Twilight of the Gods was produced by the Stone Quarry Animation studio. Zack Snyder directed the first and last episodes.
