Bradley Cooper to Direct Upcoming Ocean’s Eleven Movie Starring Margot Robbie
Warner Bros. asked the actor/director to take over the project. This will be the filmmaker’s fourth feature film.
Will he save the prequel fromOcean’s Elevenwhich Hollywood seems to have a hard time bringing to fruition?
While he took Ryan Gosling’s place in the cast, opposite Margot Robbie, actor Bradley Cooper should also write and direct the film for Warner Bros.
And for good reason, the feature film dedicated to Danny Ocean’s parents (still untitled) has just lost its director.
Lee Isaac Chung, director of Twisterswho took over the project after Jay Roach, also attached to the feature film for a while, dropped out in recent days. Warner would therefore have the idea of letting Cooper take over the entire project, knowing that it was originally developed by Margot Robbie’s company LuckyChap.
It must be said that filmmaker Bradley Cooper enjoys a certain aura, rewarded with several Oscar nominations. This would then be the fourth film directed by the actor-filmmaker after A Star Is Born, Maestro And Is This Thing On?released a few days ago in France.
If all goes well, filming could (finally) begin before the end of the year.
The story would take place before the events of Ocean’s Eleven (2001), the famous heist comedy set in a casino and starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. The prequel screenplay was written by Carrie Solomon and is set to be set in 1960s Europe.
In addition, George Clooney is also developing a new film in the universe Ocean’sin which Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle are expected to reprise their roles. The plot would follow the group become aging criminals.
