A first distressing trailer for Cape Fear, the series with Javier Bardem
The remake of Nerves, produced by Scorsese, will be broadcast this summer on Apple TV.
After Robert Mitchum and Robert De Niro, he slips into the shoes of the disturbing Max Cady.
Javier Bardem will be at the heart of Cape Fear, a psychological thriller, produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, and written by showrunner Nick Antosca.
The first trailer online (below) already promises a chilling thriller around a family who has everything to be happy and who will be targeted by a killer released from prison.
The series is adapted from the novel Nerves on the Edge which gave rise to the eponymous 1962 film with Gregory Peck as well as its 1991 remake by Scorsese (and already produced by Spielberg at the time). Javier Bardem will therefore track down the lawyer couple Anna and Tom Bowden – played by Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson. “Max Cady, the famous killer they put behind bars, is released from prison. With the intention of revenge.”
Around the main trio, we will see: CCH Pounder, Joe Anders, Lily Collias, Jamie Hector, Malia Pyles, Anna Baryshnikov, Ron Perlman, Ted Levine and Margarita Levieva.
The first two episodes of Cape Fear will be available on Apple TV on Friday, June 5, followed by a new episode every Friday until July 31. The series will also be visible in France via MyCanal. Watch the first trailer below:
