First trailer for Season 2 of The Bureau of Legends

The Agency will bring back Michael Fassbender as the CIA spy known as “the Martian.”

Michael Fassbender returns to espionage.

The Agency will reopen its doors this summer. Paramount+ has just revealed the very first trailer for season 2 of this American remake of The Bureau of Legends. The American platform also takes the opportunity to announce a launch date in the United States: the 10 episodes will be put online from June 21, 2026. In France, no date has yet been communicated by Canal+, which is the broadcaster of the series here.

Launched in 2024, The Agency received solid critical reception before being renewed a few months later. This US adaptation follows Brandon “Martian” Colby, an undercover CIA agent. But when his former lover, now a political prisoner in Sudan, resurfaces, his mission changes and leads to a series of explosive consequences.

Season 2 promises to turn the pressure up a notch. According to the official synopsis: “Betrayed, compromised and haunted by the woman he couldn’t save, CIA agent Martian sees his world collapse as a mole hunt plunges the London branch into chaos. As loyalties fracture, the truth becomes a weapon… and the only way out for Martian is to go deeper.”

In the trailer, Martian also admits to having betrayed his country… without the slightest regret. Between clandestine operations, explosions and general paranoia, the CIA now seems to consider him as the number one suspect.

Around Fassbender, the cast notably brings together Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Richard Gere, as well as Dominic West and Hugh Bonneville as guests.

Behind the camera, screenwriters Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth are back, while George Clooney continues to produce the series via Smokehouse Pictures.
