Trailer: Ice Age 6 already reveals its first images
Volcano Awakens will be released next winter.
Prepare the mammoth skins and nuts: Manny, Sid, Diego and the whole gang are back.
Disney has just revealed the first images of Ice Age: The Volcano Awakensthe sixth installment of the famous animation franchise born at Blue Sky Studios more than twenty years ago.
This new adventure will allow us to find the mammoth Manny (original voice of Ray Romano), the saber-toothed tiger Diego (Denis Leary), the tireless sloth Sid (John Leguizamo), but also Ellie (Queen Latifah) and the essential Buck, the one-eyed weasel voiced by Simon Pegg.
Without forgetting the real mascots of the saga: Scrat and Baby Scrat, always obsessed with their eternal hunt for nuts, as well as the turbulent opossums Crash and Eddie.
This time, the adventure begins when a volcanic eruption upsets the balance of the Lost World: “Erupting from a volcano in full eruption, everyone soon launches headlong into a new crazy adventure during which, between dinosaurs and lava flows, they will be led to explore still unexplored corners of the Lost World…” details the synopsis.
In the production, we find John Donkin, already at the helm of the Disney+ spin-off Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild.
After several years of absence on the big screen, the franchise hopes to return to the success which allowed it to accumulate more than 3 billion dollars in revenue worldwide.
Ice Age: The Volcano Awakens will be released in cinemas on February 3, 2027.
