Comedian Ilyes Djadel brings his sketch “The Catholic High School” to the big screen in a feature film signed by Mohamed Hamidi.
After the success of The Cowdirector Mohamed Hamidi tackles what could well become one of the surprise comedies of summer 2026 with Fallen from the skythe trailer for which has just been revealed.
The film is carried by comedian Ilyes Djadel, who here adapts one of his flagship sketches: Le Lycée Catholique.
The story follows Ilyes who “leads a joyful life in the suburbs of Roubaix. Only problem: the ferry. After failing twice, this is his last chance to get it and finally make his parents proud. But a fire occurs during the baccalaureate, and he is accused of being at the origin… Excluded from his high school, he must leave his neighborhood and go to the only establishment that accepts him: the Catholic boarding school of Saint-Albert-le-Grand, in Burgundy. Between culture shock and quest for redemption, Ilyes will have to overcome his prejudices… And those of others.“
In the casting, we will therefore find Ilyes Djadel in the leading role. Opposite him, Josiane Balasko and Fred Testot will be a good sister and a brother in charge of the establishment. Antoine Duléry, as well as Jamel Debbouze will complete the cast.
Fallen from the sky will be released in cinemas on August 12. Watch the trailer below:
