The Dream Adventure: the trailer for the 2026 Cannes Jury Prize
A twilight thriller that takes us to the borders of Europe, between intimate drama and a dive into organized crime.
It was one of the shocks of the Croisette this year. A few weeks after winning the Jury Prize at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, here is the trailer for The dream adventure.
For her first time in official competition, German director Valeska Grisebach has created a mafia thriller that is both broad and opaque at the heart of a Europe in disarray. Already noted for Westernthe filmmaker takes us to Svilengrad, a small town located on the Bulgarian border.
“In Svilengrad, a small town on the Bulgarian border, on the borders of a neglected Europe, Veska, an archaeologist, reconnects with Said, a childhood friend, whose car has just been stolen. In wanting to help him, Veska gradually slides into the heart of a criminal society whose influence reigns over the town. Veska will have to confront this world that is both troubled and dangerous” details the synopsis.
The film is directed by Yana Radeva, with also Syuleyman Letifov, Stoicho Kostadinov, Nikolay Sherkerdjiev, Denislava Yordanova and Tiana Georgieva.
Distributed in France by Haut et Court, The dream adventure will be released in French cinemas on July 15.
