Zach Cregger’s next horror project will be about Siren Head

After Fainted and before his highly anticipated Resident Evil, the new master of horror will tackle one of the most terrifying creatures on the Internet.

While his resident Evil is expected at the start of the school year, the director of Barbarian and the summer 2025 hit, Faintedis already preparing his next film… dedicated to Siren Head, one of the most famous horror legends on the Web.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. acquired the rights to this creature imagined in 2018 by artist Trevor Henderson. A huge, decomposing skeletal figure, Siren Head is distinguished by its two warning sirens in place of its head, capable of broadcasting disturbing sounds to attract its victims.

At the helm of the film, we will therefore find Zach Cregger, who will co-write the screenplay with Brian Duffield (Hunted). The two filmmakers will also produce alongside Roy Lee, Andrew Childs and Scott Glassgold.

Hollywood seems determined to continue to tap into legends born on the Internet. The phenomenal success of Backroomsadapted from Kane Parsons’ famous YouTube series inspired by a Reddit post that went viral in 2019, has only reinforced this trend. The film has already exceeded $330 million in revenue worldwide.

Created as a simple drawing published on the Internet, Siren Head quickly became a true viral phenomenon. The creature has inspired countless theories, short films, animations, video games and fan creations.

Today, content dedicated to Siren Head has more than 3 billion views on TikTok and more than a billion on YouTube, proof that the monster imagined by Trevor Henderson has become one of the essential figures in online horror.

No release date has yet been announced for this new adaptation.
