The Gentlemen season 2: Eddie and Susie think even bigger in the trailer
The gangster duo played by Theo James and Kaya Scodelario returns to Netflix on September 3 for a second season. And a season 3 is already officially ordered.
The gangster war continues. Netflix has just revealed the first full trailer for season 2 of The Gentlemen, which will be available on September 3.
And this time, Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass no longer intend to be content with the British market.
Still played by Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, the two partners will seek to develop their empire internationally, including a detour to the sumptuous villas along the Italian lakes. But this new stage is obviously not going to be done without complications, and one of the members of their team will discover that he has tackled a piece that is much too big for him. Meanwhile, Eddie continues his rise in the criminal world while climbing the ranks of British high society. He thus finds himself in the circle of a particularly interested new aristocrat, played by Hugh Bonneville.
The trailer shows an ever more ambitious Eddie.
In front of his family estate, he says to Geoff: “Four hundred years ago, this property stretched as far as the eye could see. I want it all back.”
An ambition encouraged by Stanley Johnston, the American billionaire played by Giancarlo Esposito. “You are destined to reign. Trace your own path,” he whispers. Enough to give Eddie even greater confidence to confront the bigwigs of organized crime. But in this environment, each new step climbed necessarily has a price.
And Eddie and Susie can already see further: Netflix has officially renewed The Gentlemen for a season 3. This new salvo will have eight episodes and will once again be directed by Guy Ritchie, who will also find Matthew Read writing.
“The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the universe has expanded and the consequences have become more serious. A third season seemed inevitable and I look forward to continuing to push the boundaries,” explains Guy Ritchie.
Note that Meghan Markle should be the star of the casting of this third season.
In the meantime, see you on September 3 on Netflix for season 2.
