Camille Cottin, Laure Calamy, Nicolas Maury… the whole Ten Percent gang exclusively in Première

To mark the broadcast of Ten percent, the film, the new issue of Première brings together the ASK gang for a big, exclusive meeting. Also on the list: Ridley Scott, Olivia Wilde, David Ayer on Brad Pitt and Léa Drucker.

They are all there. Camille Cottin, Laure Calamy, Nicolas Maury, Grégory Montel, Fanny Sidney, Thibault de Montalembert, Liliane Rovère… On the occasion of Ten percent, the film, First brings together the entire ASK gang for a big exclusive meeting around a return as awaited as it is paradoxical: the series which told the story behind the scenes of French cinema becomes a film which will be released on September 10 on Netflix.

Ten years after its launch on France 2, after its international triumph on the platforms and its multiple remakes around the world, Ten percent therefore closes the loop. In our new issue, on newsstands Wednesday August 26 (order it from our online store), we brought together the most famous agents of French cinema for an interview and an exclusive shooting at the last Cannes festival. They talk about the emotion of the reunion, the madness of the global phenomenon, but also what the series has changed in their lives. With, as a bonus, an interview with Fanny Herrero, who returned to writing the film:

“I accepted immediately because this time it was a film. I have done many things in my life, but writing Ten Percent remains my greatest pleasure. The time that has passed has allowed me to digest a lot of things and feel nostalgic for this tape. I wanted to rewrite for them. Especially since I remained very close to Camille (Cottin) and Laure (Calamy). Finding artistic complicity with them excited me a lot.”

This number also looks to the West – Hollywood side. In a major interview, Ridley Scott on The Dog Starpost-apocalyptic survival worn by Jacob Elordi, Margaret Qualley and Josh Brolin. But he also talks to us about chaos, artificial intelligence and explains how cinema is for him the art of reconstructing collapsed worlds. With some well-intentioned outings, obviously: “If you stop for two seconds to think about it, making a film is a completely insane undertaking.“Or this ukase:”Artificial intelligence is coming and whether we like it or not, we will have to adopt it. I am ready“. Sit down, it’s mind-blowing!

Another meeting: Olivia Wilde, back in front of and behind the camera with The Invitationa cruel comedy about a couple in crisis, where she co-stars with Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton. Four years after the washer Don’t Worry Darlingshe talks about her desire to regain control, her relationship with the theater and streaming. We listen!

We were also able to ask David Ayer about Brad Pitt. In Heart of the Beastthe director reunites with the star of Fury for a film reduced to the essentials: Brad, a dog, the wild nature of Alaska. How do you film an absolute star when everything is based on his body, his face, his silences? Ayer responds as a filmmaker fascinated by the secret mechanics of the star system.

Léa Drucker is also deciphered by those close to her and we took Benjamin Tranié, fantastic supporting actor, to a Parisian bar to take stock of the stereotype that sticks to her. The redneck! (Spoiler: it is far from being one)
