They will push their complicity even further in Brothers, a new Apple TV series in which a family revelation could well shake up their friendship, as revealed in the first trailer (below), which promises a pretty crazy comedy…
The story begins when Woody’s daughter’s wedding turns into a disaster. He then decides to take his family for a stay at Matthew’s ranch in Austin, just to find some peace and quiet. But the reunion will quickly take an unexpected turn. Matthew’s mother, Ma Mac, played by Holland Taylor, accidentally reveals an old family secret: the two best friends could actually be brothers! Woody then has only one idea in mind: to discover the truth. He embarks on a real investigation and turns the ranch upside down to find evidence. Matthew is going through an existential crisis of a completely different nature: he is considering running for governor of Texas…
Produced and carried by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, the series is developed by showrunner Lee Eisenberg.
The cast also includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe and Holland Taylor.
The first two episodes of Brothers will be available on September 23, before a new episode every week until November 4.
