Danny Boyle narrates Rupert Murdoch in Ink: trailer

His new film opened the 83rd Venice Film Festival last night.

Ten years after telling the story of Steve Jobs, Danny Boyle returns to the biopic and tackles the rise of media mogul Rupert Murdoch in Inkwhich opened the 2026 Venice Film Festival last night. At the same time, the trailer was revealed (below).

Written by British playwright James Graham (Dear England, Sherwood, Brexit), the film looks at the takeover and transformation of the British newspaper The Sun by Rupert Murdoch at the end of the 1960s. Jack O’Connell plays Larry Lamb, the editor-in-chief who participated in the editorial revolution of the tabloid, while Guy Pearce lends his features to Murdoch and Claire Foy to Jules Davies.

Produced by Studiocanal, Media Res and House Productions, Ink will be released in France on January 6, 2027 in cinemas.
