Robert Pattinson suffers on the set of The Batman II: “I feel my age!”
At 40, the English actor admits that the action scenes in the sequel are particularly grueling to play.
It’s never been easy being Batman.
But for Robert Pattinson, the years are visibly starting to take their toll. While the filming of The Batman II is in full swing in London, the 40-year-old actor admits to having more difficulty doing fight scenes than at the time of the first film. He entrusts to GQ :
“I’m in London until the end of the year filming the Batman sequel. It’s good. But I definitely feel my age when I have to fight a lot. I’m literally like, ‘Damn, this is so much harder than before!“
No question of complaining. Robert Pattinson ensures that the experience remains particularly fun and is even very enthusiastic about the film:
“It’s really fun. And I think the movie is going to be pretty awesome. It has a really, really great cast. But it’s a marathon.”
The filming of The Batman II debuted in June in London, with Matt Reeves returning behind the camera. The director co-wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin. Robert Pattinson obviously takes over the role of the Dark Knight, while Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan have joined the cast. The cast also includes Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch. For now, the plot remains carefully kept under wraps.
After the success of the first The Batman in 2022, this new dive into Matt Reeves’ Gotham is particularly anticipated. And obviously, it will require some additional physical effort from its main performer.
The Batman II is expected in cinemas on February 16, 2028 in France.
