After The Curse and The Rehearsal, Nathan Fielder’s new madness
The director has launched a documentary dedicated to Elizabeth Holmes. The result, You Can See Everything, has just been unveiled in Telluride and promises to be as strange as anything he has done so far.

After Nathan For You, The Rehearsal and The Curse, the actor, screenwriter and director returns with a project kept secret for several years: a documentary dedicated to Elizabeth Holmes, the fallen founder of Theranos.
Entitled You Can See Everything, the film has just been discreetly presented at the Telluride Film Festival, before a theatrical release scheduled for next October. It is produced by A24, which also unveiled a first trailer during this surprise screening (see below). The project had been surrounded by rumors for several years. Nathan Fielder would have notably met and interviewed Holmes while she was still incarcerated, for a documentary the nature of which no one really knew.
The official synopsis already gives a little idea of the madness: “Thirty-four days before being sent to prison, famous Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move. What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic criminal becomes a three-year, completely dizzying journey into the abyss.”
And inevitably, when Nathan Fielder finds himself face to face with Elizabeth Holmes, it’s difficult not to wonder which of the two is observing the other. In the trailer, the two stare at each other for a long time, as if trying to determine who will break down first. Holmes then assures Fielder: “I have nothing to hide from you.” Then she continues: “Of course I’m not cheating on you. I’m engaging with you as a human being. Why would I cheat on you? There’s no reason to…I’m always sincere.”
It’s difficult to imagine better raw material for Nathan Fielder, whose works play precisely on the border between reality and staging, unease and comedy, documentary and fiction.
The film does not yet have a French date.
