One day we will make love: the tender trailer for the new Arte series
After Les Hautes Herbes and À la joie, Jérôme Bonnell signs a sensitive and offbeat romantic comedy, led by Natacha Krief and Édouard Sulpice.
What if one meeting could change everything in just 48 hours?
This is the challenge of Un jour we will make love, a new mini-series by Jérôme Bonnell (Les Hautes Herbes, À la joie), for which Arte is unveiling the trailer today, in the wake of its triumph at the La Rochelle Fiction Festival, where it won the Best Comedy Prize.
The synopsis details: “Tours, during a scorching summer. Aurore, in her thirties, earns her living as best she can by repairing the swimming pools of the surrounding wealthy properties. When she learns of the death of a person linked to her past, her boyfriend announces to her, a few hours later, that he is leaving her. Upset, she finds herself in the evening in a bar where she meets Noé, who dreams of becoming a journalist while taking care of his father alcoholic. She thinks of her lost love, he of a woman he met earlier that day, who briefly comforted him after leaving an unsuccessful job interview. During a night as joyful as it was drunk, Aurore and Noé become closer to each other.
Jérôme Bonnell thus films the first moments of a love story without trying to reproduce the usual recipes of the romantic comedy.
The series is led by Natacha Krief and Édouard Sulpice, both of whom were awarded the Young Hope Prize for women and men at the last La Rochelle Fiction Festival.
One day we will make love, created, written and directed by Jérôme Bonnell, has 3 episodes of 45 minutes. The series will be available from October 22, 2026 on arte.tv, then broadcast on October 29 at 9 p.m. on Arte.
