The Batman 2: Robert Pattinson promises a “very different” film

Filming of The Batman 2 still on hold, Robert Pattinson reacts

The sequel to The Batman had to interrupt production. But Robert Pattinson wants to be reassuring.

But what happens on the set of The Batman II ? After taking several years to come to fruition, the sequel to Matt Reeves’ film has finally begun production. But just a few weeks after filming began, filming was halted. At issue: a family matter which forced the director to temporarily move away from the set.

Asked by The Official Pop Drop during the British presentation of his new film, Primetimeat the London Festival, Robert Pattinson reacted by trying to reassure about this impromptu break:

“We’re taking a little break, but things will start again and we will manage to organize ourselves…”

Robert Pattinson says no more.

Wait and see. Since October 5, Matt Reeves has left production, forced to be absent for “family reasons”. DC Studios confirmed the temporary suspension of production in a press release and provided its full support to the filmmaker, without giving further details on the reasons which pushed him to leave urgently. “We look forward to resuming this adventure soon“, the studio only said without specifying the duration of the interruption.

The question of a possible postponement of the release date therefore already arises, even if nothing has been announced at this stage.

The Batman II is currently due to be released in cinemas in France on February 16, 2028.

Robert Pattinson will return as Bruce Wayne, alongside a cast that includes Scarlett Johansson, Colin Farrell, Sebastian Stan, Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright.
