A third season for The Four Seasons on Netflix

Barely season 2 launched, Netflix is ​​already extending the holidays. The platform has officially ordered the continuation of Tina Fey’s series.

The group of forty-somethings still has many good years ahead of them.

During the Banff World Media Festival, Netflix announced the renewal of its series The Four Seasons for a season 3 of eight episodes.

The information was revealed by the platform’s series manager, Jinny Howe, confirming the confidence placed in this choral comedy which has quickly established itself as one of the most popular series in the catalog.

Launched in May 2025, The Four Seasons, adapted from the eponymous film directed in 1981 by Alan Alda, follows a group of longtime friends who meet four times a year to go on vacation together. Each season is made up of eight episodes, with a new setting every two episodes. The cast includes Tina Fey and Will Forte, as well as Colman Domingo.

The series was created by Tina Fey alongside Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, already known for their work on several hit comedies. In a joint press release, the three creators celebrated this renewal with humor:

“We are thrilled to be able to bring a third season of The Four Seasons to life. Thank you to everyone who watched the series. Mature people, let’s f**ing go!”

Same enthusiasm from Netflix. Tracey Pakosta, vice-president of American comedies for the platform, praised the alchemy of the casting and the audience’s attachment to the characters:

“Audiences fell in love with these characters and the electric chemistry of this exceptional cast. We are thrilled to extend the holiday for a third season.”

No broadcast date yet announced, but this early renewal suggests that season 3 will be broadcast as early as 2027.
