The director is inspired by her experience for this first feature film centered on an unhealthy family and a young teenager who tries to get rid of it.

Cassandre was a long -term job for the director Hélène Merlin. After a career in culture and a few years of radio journalism, she decides to bring to the screen a story that she draws of his own adolescence. 10 years ago, the novice director began writing the script. Here is the pitch:

“Summer 1998. Campaign. Cassandre is 14 years old. In the little family mansion, his parents and his older brother note that his body has changed. Fortunately, Cassandre is passionate about horse and joined a small equestrian center for the holidays where she is adopted as a strange animal. She discovers another normality that extracts her little-to-small from a family body that swallows her… ”
