Children of the Resistance: the sequel has a title and a release date

Children of the Resistance: Escalade will be released next year.

After the success of the first film, which attracted 1.327 million spectators, Children of the Resistance 2 will be titled Children of the Resistance: Escalation.

This sequel is produced by Christophe Barratier, who adapts volumes 3 and 4 of the comic strip by Vincent Dugomier and Benoît Ers, published by Le Lombard. The story takes place in 1941, as the noose tightens on occupied France. Upset by the execution of his father by the Nazis, François multiplies acts of resistance alongside Lisa and Eusebe. When a Free French agent, parachuted from London, comes into contact with them, the three friends find themselves at the heart of a mission as decisive as it is dangerous.

Gérard Jugnot, Pierre Deladonchamps, Leslie Medina, Julien Pestel, Julien Arruti, Vanessa Guide, Lucas Hector, Nina Filbrandt-Spanoly and Octave Gerbi reprise their roles in this sequel, and will be joined by François-Xavier Demaison and Axel Auriant.

Filming is currently underway in Paris and Burgundy-Franche-Comté until July 31.

Produced by Axel Films and distributed by Studiocanal, Children of the Resistance: Escalation will be released in theaters on October 20, 2027.
