Hugh Jackman and The Sheep Detectives are coming to Prime Video: trailer

Released in cinemas in several territories around the world, The Sheep Detectives is coming directly to us for streaming.

While he will soon be showing in theaters in the shoes of an old man Robin Hood tired, Hugh Jackman arrives on the platform with The Sheep Detectives (formerly titled Bêêêêtective Private). The film had a cinema release in the United States and in numerous countries, before enjoying a solid worldwide run, accumulating $123 million in revenue. In France, on the other hand, it is released directly in streaming.

Directed by Kyle Balda, already behind several successes in the Illumination universe (Despicable Me 3, Minions 2: Once upon a time Gru), the film also features Craig Mazin, creator of The Last of Us And Chernobylfrom the novel Who killed Glenn? by Leonie Swann.

In this atypical thriller, “George is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his dear sheep every evening, convinced that they cannot understand anything. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must take on the role of detectives. By following clues and investigating human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant investigators” details the synopsis.

The voice and live-action cast is particularly impressive, with Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Tosin Cole, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein and Rhys Darby.

The Sheep Detectives will be available from June 24 on Prime Video.
