Kristen Stewart reunites with Olivier Assayas for a new supernatural film
Vicky Krieps, Niels Schneider, Riley Keough, Wagner Moura and Barbara Sukowa complete the cast.
Ten years later Sils Maria (2014) and Personal Shopper (2016), it’s reunion time for Kristen Stewart and Olivier Assayas. The French director will collaborate with the American star for a third film, according to Ioncinema. Obviously on the fantastical side.
Baptized Spiritual Worldthe film will follow Ada, a haunted young woman with clairvoyant powers, who begins to receive strange premonitions. A new project which seems to reconnect with the supernatural territory explored by Assayas in Personal Shopper – where Stewart already played a young woman confronted with strange phenomena – but also in her series Irma Vep.
Vicky Krieps, Niels Schneider, Riley Keough, Wagner Moura and legendary German actress Barbara Sukowa complete the cast.
Produced by Olivier Delbosc for Curiosa Films and ARTE France, Spiritual World is due to begin filming in February 2027, for production which will continue until April between France and Germany.
