The actor reunites with Pierre Lottin (La Nuit du 12) in a foggy police thriller.
The fictional town of Rochebrune in the Ardennes harbors chaos on the verge of implosion. A protest movement was raised by Johnny. Only now, the leader disappeared after robbing a van. A childhood friend, Paul Ligre, will retrace the traces of memories shared in the past and will try to find his friend before the police. Investigator Anna Werner's plans are thwarted by a lead that leads her to discover the secret, a secret that unites Paul and Johnny…
In this crime thriller, Bastien Bouillon find Pierre Lottinwith whom he had collaborated in The Night of the 12thby Dominik Moll, in an equally heavy atmosphere… Léa Druckerfor her part, takes on the features of an investigator determined to flush out Johnny.
Baptiste Debrauxthe director, designed the feature film for Bastien Bouillon:
“I wrote the film for Bastien. A few years ago, I already had a project, which didn't come to fruition, where he was to play the main role. But I knew I would write another film for him. For me, it was obvious. He has such depth in his eyes…“
The character of Anna embodies an essential focus, like a bridge between the spectator and this nebulous affair:
“We follow her (Anna), parallel to Paul, carrying out her investigation. Anna will understand throughout the story the links that united Paul, Johnny and Charlène. Which will also disturb her and push her to make certain decisions… Anna's character is always one step ahead.“
A man on the run will be released on May 8, 2024 in theaters.
Dominik Moll: “Rodrigo Sorogoyen was a major influence on La Nuit du 12”
