Paris at night, an influencer at half mast, failed castings, champagne and an existential crisis: Microstar unveils a nighttime trailer between dream and reality.
After the short films speck of dust, Virtual Or Gabriel RoseFrench director Léopold Kraus signs his first feature film, a comedy in the form of introspection on fame and the profession of actor. Gabriel Rose is an opportunistic and pretentious influencer who dreams of becoming an actor. While he goes through castings without success, he meets Stanislas, a wealthy daddy’s boy who offers him a new project.
On the casting side, we will find Abraham Wapler (The Coming of the Future), Félix Lefebvre (Summer 85), Raika Hazanavicius (The 7 Lives of Léa) or even Fred Tousch.
Synopsis: “Broke beauty influencer, Gabriel Rose dreams of becoming an actor. But he has neither the talent nor the contacts. After yet another failed casting, he meets Stanislas, a daddy’s boy from the golden youth, who suggests he launch a jewelry brand. Gabriel sees this as an opportunity to access the Parisian elite, where everything seems easy, in appearance… At the same time, he becomes friends with Pauline, a young researcher in political ecology. Torn between two worlds, Gabriel seeks his place between image and reality, desire for ascension, and need for love.”
