You thought you knew the story of Cinderella ?
Netflix intends to make you change your point of view. The platform has just revealed the first trailer for Sisters of fate (Steps in original version), a new animated musical film that revisits the famous fairy tale by telling the story from the point of view of Lilith, one of the so-called “evil” half-sisters.
In this new version, Lilith is tired of living in Cinderella’s shadow. She then steals the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and takes control of the royal ball with her sister Margot. But this initiative will have unexpected consequences: the kingdom falls into the hands of Priscilla, a new villain determined to seize the throne. Lilith will then have to team up with Cinderella to save the kingdom. On the program: biker trolls, evil henchmen and a mysterious Howling Forest. But behind this fantastic adventure, Sisters of fate above all tells the story of two very different sisters who will learn to know each other and overcome their differences.
Directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa, the film features a particularly prestigious vocal cast. Ali Wong lends her voice to Lilith, while Stephanie Hsu plays Margot and Amanda Seyfried Cinderella. Nikki Glaser, Daniel Radcliffe, Young Mazino, Peter Dinklage and Bette Midler complete the cast. (netflix.com)
