Queen Huppert returns to the Césars with a record 16th nomination!

She is the richest woman in the world and this allows her to also be the most nominated French actress in the history of the César Awards.

It’s been almost ten years since she last competed for a César…

Isabelle Huppert returns in force to the great mass of French cinema, thanks to The richest woman in the world. Thierry Klifa’s film has accumulated nearly a million admissions and allows the star to land her 16th nomination for the Césars (including 1 for Best Supporting Actress), strengthening her absolute record. Isabelle Huppert is the most nominated actress in the history of the ceremony! And now, the 72-year-old actress has a (small) margin ahead of Catherine Deneuve, who follows in the ranking with 14 nominations (including 1 for Best Supporting Actress).

Isabelle Huppert is getting closer to the nomination record held by Gérard Depardieu, with 17 citations.

But let’s still note that Isabelle Adjani is still the most awarded, with 5 Césars for best actress in 8 participations. Isabelle Huppert has “only” two trophies (for She in 2017 and The Ceremony in 1996). By winning on February 26, during this 51st edition of the Césars, she would become the sole runner-up, with 3 victories.

The 2026 Césars will be seen on Canal + unencrypted.
