After the documentaries Some Kind of Heaven And SpermworldAmerican director Lance Oppenheim is now tackling fiction with Primetime. A story inspired by sensationalist American shows from the 2000s which trapped child molesters using hidden cameras, and takes as its subject a very realistic problem… The film follows a journalist, ready to do anything to shed light on the actions of a criminal group.
Robert Pattinson will play the lead role, singer Phoebe Bridgers, Merritt Wever (Memory) and Skyler Gisondo (Long live the holidays) will complete the cast.
Synopsis: “A journalist takes on a criminal group and changes television forever.”
The thriller produced by A24 will be released next September according to Deadline.
