The American actor is once again making headlines away from the sets
Two years after his notable role in Megalopolisby Francis Ford Coppola, Shia LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans after an altercation that allegedly broke out on the sidelines of Mardi Gras celebrations.
The star revealed as a child in the Disney series The Stevens War – and which we have since seen in films like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the saga Transformers, Nymphomaniac, Fury Or Pieces of a Woman – was arrested shortly after midnight on Tuesday February 17, after “a long weekend of pub crawling” in the French Quarter of the Louisiana city.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor – who has already undergone treatment for alcoholism – would have “caused disorder and adopted increasingly aggressive behavior” in an establishment on Royal Street (information initially revealed by TMZ). An employee allegedly tried to expel him. Once outside, Shia LaBeouf allegedly punched a man several times. Still according to the police report, several people tried to control him. Released “in the hope that he leaves”he would have returned to the charge, hitting the same victim again and then another person in the nose before being immobilized until the arrival of the police.

The actor was first taken to hospital to treat injuries, the nature of which was not specified.
He was then placed under arrest and charged with two counts of simple assault.
A matter all the sadder since, according to TMZ, he was just looking for a new start in the city after his breakup last year with actress Mia Goth. He left Los Angeles in December to settle in Louisiana, buying a house with three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms for a little over a million dollars, about twenty minutes from the French Quarter of New Orleans. On the spot, he confided that he wanted “reset and refocus” – start from scratch. A new chapter in his life that starts off badly.
