Apple TV unveils the trailer for Small Prophets, a British comedy as quirky as it is mysterious, notably starring Pearce Quigley, Lauren Patel, Michael Palin and Mackenzie Crook.

“The eccentric Michael Sleep (Pearce Quigley) who, since the disappearance of his beloved Clea, seven years previously, has pursued a completely ordinary life. He works in a DIY store, visits his father Brian (Michael Palin) and hopes that Clea will return. One day, his father reveals to him an ancient recipe based on rainwater, manure and a touch of alchemy. Recipe in hand, and although a little skeptical, Michael sets out to bring life to homunculi, small magical creatures who can predict the future, with the hope that they will answer the question that burns him: “will he ever see Clea again?”. Michael can count on the help of his young colleague (Lauren Patel), whose unlikely friendship is based in part on their shared hatred of the manager of the DIY store, Gordon (Mackenzie Crook). Jon Pointing) who have only one obsession: to discover what is going on in this garden shed.”

Sophie Willan, Jon Pointing and Paul Kaye complete the cast of this series which mixes comedy, fantasy and neighborhood chronicle.

Created, written and directed by Mackenzie Crook, Small Prophets won the International Panorama Best Series Award at the Séries Mania 2026 Festival.

The first two episodes will be available on October 7, 2026 on Apple TV, then a new episode will be posted online each week until November 4.
