Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu trailer makes you want it
We are delighted to return to George Lucas’s very distant galaxy, to follow the epic adventures of Baby Yoda and his protector, who set out to hunt the Hutts…
Baby Yoda gets into mischief!
A week after a teaser for the Super Bowl, Disney and Lucasfilm have just released a long trailer for The Mandalorian & Groguwhich reveals lots of new images of the armored bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal and his faithful green companion, in this cinematic adventure which promises its share of action, crazy creatures, galactic fun and absolute fun for fans of the George Lucas saga.
The video highlights the destination of the duo from the Disney Plus series who appear on the big screen to exterminate the Hutt, this alien race of which Jabba was the most eminent representative (died in Return of the Jedi obviously), and which Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) fought alongside Boba Fett in the spin-off series in his name. We understand that the film will introduce us to the heart of the Hutt, with their lords and their muscular warriors, including Rotta the Hutt, Jabba’s son!
Along the way, The Mandalorian & Grogu will take on all kinds of space gangsters, war criminals and other thugs, in the hope of preventing a new galactic conflict.
The story still takes place after the fall of the Empire, a few years later Return of the Jedi in the wake of Episode VI.
The synopsis details: “The Evil Empire has fallen, but its Imperial warlords remain scattered across the galaxy. As the New Republic attempts to protect the legacy of the Rebellion, it calls upon legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.”.
The film marks the return of Star Wars to the big screen and the trailer really promises a fun, standalone adventure in George Lucas’s Galaxy, leaving the larger mythology aside. The next opus, Star Wars: Starfightersigned Shawn Levy and expected for May 2027, with Ryan Gosling, Amy Adams, Matt Smith and Mia Goth, will also be in this vein.
Until then, The Mandalorian & Grogu will be released in cinemas on May 20, 2026 in France.
