This horror film is a travesty: Primate trailer

With an Oscar-winning actor from the American remake of The Bélier Family.

At the antipodes ofelevated horrorPrimate is aimed at lovers of carnage. With a pitch that doesn’t beat around the bush. A monkey adopted by a family, really cute, turns into a bloodthirsty monster after contracting rabies and begins to kill everyone during a stay on a distant island.

A director specializing in horror (Johannes Roberts, known for The Strangers: Prey at Night And Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), a producer of the Conjuring saga (Walter Hamada), some young supporting actors (including Johnny Sequoyah and Jessica Alexander) and even an Oscar-winning actor in the cast (Troy Kotsur, the star of Codathe remake of The Aries family). And here is a 1h30 slasher ready to shock movie theaters.

We laugh, but Primate presents itself with a score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, after its visibly successful appearance at Fantastic Fest. And it could delight fans of the genre. The film will be released in France on January 26, 2026. Trailer:
