The Bear: a date for the release of season 5, the last of the series

It was announced by Jamie Lee Curtis and it is now confirmed: yes, season 5 of The Bear will be the last.

FX has announced that the multi-Emmy award-winning hit series will return for a fifth and final season on June 26, with eight episodes released online simultaneously. An official poster for this latest season has also been revealed.

This announcement comes just after the surprise release of Gary, a special flashback episode, co-written and starring Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal. The episode follows Richie and Mikey on a business trip to Gary, Indiana. It is already available on Disney+.

Season 5 of The Bear will pick up immediately after the events of the previous season. Sydney, Richie and Natalie “Sugar” discover that Carmy “has left the restaurant business, leaving them the restaurant. Without money, faced with the threat of a sale and a torrential storm, the new partners must unite with the rest of the team to succeed in one last service, hoping to finally win a Michelin star. Throughout this ordeal, they learn that the “perfection” of a restaurant perhaps rests less on the cuisine than on the people who make it live…”
