The film dedicated to the birth of Rocky unveils its trailer and shows Anthony Ippolito in the skin of Sly, who tries to make his place in cinema, in the heart of the 70’s.
The actor revealed in the series Grand Army is already particularly impressive in this trailer, capable in particular of reproducing the gravelly voice of the icon, he who already knows biopics of this genre: he played Al Pacino in The Offerthe series going behind the scenes of Godfather. And in I Play Rockyhe will therefore be the not-yet-star actor in Hollywood.
Directed by Peter Farrelly (Oscar winner for Green Book), the film traces the true story of the actor, then unknown, who fought to bring his script to the screen… on one condition: to play Rocky Balboa himself.

Produced for less than a million dollars, Rocky had created a surprise by becoming the biggest success at the American box office in 1976 before winning the Oscar for best film. Its triumph will give birth to five sequels, then the franchise Creed.
I Play Rocky is expected in American theaters in November and December 23, 2026 in France.
