The SF suite of Big Bang Theory, with Stuart, will take place
A series around a “multifiverse chaos” caused by the owner of the comic book store.
Six years after the end of The Big Bang Theorythe Pasadena geeks saga is still as alive.
A fourth series has just been ordered. After the mother series (broadcast between 2007 and 2019), after Young Sheldon (2017-2024) and while just started Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (in October 2024), Warner Bros. has just validated the rest.
HBO Max gave the green light to a new chapter entitled Stuart fails to save the universe. This derived series will stage the cult character of Stuart Bloom, owner of the comic book store, always embodied by Kevin Sussman.
The shooting of the following episodes will therefore take place in the coming weeks. Stuart fails to save the universe does not yet have a broadcast date, but could happen quickly (before the end of the year?) On HBO Max all over the world and in France.
In development for many months (the Pilot is already turned), this project brings together several familiar faces of the original universe, including Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posenn and John Ross Bowie. He is co-created by Chuck Lorre,, Bill Prady (the historic creators of The Big Bang Theory) And Zak Pennknown for his work on Ready Player One and the Marvel universe.
“We are delighted to extend the inheritance of The Big Bang Theory. This new adventure could not have emerged without the creativity of Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Zak Penn, who instills here a singular voice to an already exceptional team “said Casey Bloys, president of HBO and HBO Max.
HBO Max unveiled the official first information on the plot. Here is the pitch, a synopsis worthy of a Marvel crossover:
“Stuart Bloom (Sussman), a comic book owner, accidentally provokes a multifiverse chaos after having broken a device built by Sheldon and Leonard. Responsible for restoring reality, he is accompanied by his girlfriend Denise (Lapkus), his geologist’s friend Bert (Posenn), and the quantum physicist Barry Kripke (Bowie), always unbearable. Besides them to cross alternative versions of well -known characters from fans.
Chuck Lorre explains that she wanted to work on a different project from the traditional sitcom: “I wanted to create something radical, out of my comfort zone. A project that the characters of The Big Bang Theory would have loved … or hated … and on which they would have argued. ”
This spin-off of Big Bang Theory thus takes a resolutely more science fictional turn, and there will be “Lots of digital effects and CGI“already warns Lorre.
