Thor faces off against Dr. Doom in Avengers: Doomsday trailer

The trailer presented at CinemaCon last April is finally visible online.

The promo for the new Marvel super-reunion is shifting into high gear. At the end of the year, Avengers: Doomsday arrives at the cinema, and it is time to present its new supervillain: Dr. Doom (or Dr. Doom in French), seen recently in the post-credits scene of the Fantastic Four, but not necessarily well identified by the general public.

Played by Robert Downey Jr., the former Iron Man who makes his return to the MCU (through a plot twist which will perhaps be justified in the film), his voice opens the trailer that fans have been eagerly awaiting since CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Then, Thor takes over to explain to us the arrival of the greatest threat ever fought by the Avengers (“we will need a miracle“) before we see him confront Doom who stops Mjolnir with only two fingers.

In the meantime, the montage gives us a glimpse of the host of superheroes present in Doomsday : the old guard of the X-Men (including Xavier, Cyclops, Magneto, Mystic…), the Fantastic Four, The Winter Soldier, the Wakandans, Gambit version Channing Tatum, Shang-Chi, Yelena Belova, Ant-Man, Namor and even good old Loki. Without forgetting Steve Rogers (Chris Evans, also returned from hell) who concludes the presentations by grabbing Thor’s hammer in front of the amazed eyes of the God of Asgard.

This great Marvelian raout promises to take fan service to previously unseen spheres, but will cinema also be there? Response from December 16 in France, possibly in Infinity Vision, the new format developed by Marvel Studios to compete Dune 3which comes out the same day and has taken over all the IMAX theaters.
