Nicolas Cage's Spider-Noir will not be called Spider-Man!

Will Spider-Noir return for a season 2 on Prime Video?

Barely launched, the series worn by Nicolas Cage already has its fans. So will the masked detective be entitled to a season 2… or is the curtain already falling on his investigations?

The least we can say is that Nicolas Cage convinced the critics in the Spider-Noir costume.

Enough to guarantee him a role over several seasons?

Questioned by Variety, the actor tempers any speculation:

“I don’t know if there will be a sequel. But whether it happens or not, we all achieved what we wanted to do, and that in itself works. We’ll see what happens…”

On the producers’ side, the desire is very real. Christopher Miller told the Hollywood Reporter that he was “happy to do more”, while Phil Lord summed it up more simply: “We are television producers. So obviously, we wouldn’t say no if we were asked to do a season 2!”

Showrunner Oren Uziel insists on the open concept of the project:

“One of the magical things about a private detective story is that if you want a new story, all it takes is a new client knocking on the door, and that starts a new series of cases and problems and adventures. So it’s designed to exist for as many seasons as we want…”

The fact remains that nothing is written. But Uziel is already slipping a clue: a character cut from season 1, “Sticks”, capable of killing by simple contact, which he would like to integrate later: “I think his name is Sticks, if I remember correctly, and when he touches you, you die. I loved this idea for Noir, and maybe I will use it in season 2 if we do one.”

Conclusion: no season 2 confirmed at this stage, but a universe clearly designed to continue. It remains to be seen whether Prime Video will choose to plunge back into the shadows… or leave Spider-Noir in neutral.
