Zootopia 3: Disney formalizes the sequel

After the historic success of Zootopia 2, Disney obviously does not intend to stop there and will introduce birds into the world of Zootopia.

It’s official: Zootopia 3 is in preparation at Disney. The announcement was made during D23, the studio’s big fan meeting, where Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan confirmed that the rabbit and the snake will be back for this new adventure.

We already know that the story will focus on the arrival and discovery of birds in the anthropomorphic metropolis, while reptiles were the stars of the second part.

In 2025, Zootopia 2 saw Judy and Nick investigate the town’s disappearing reptile population, with the help of snake Gary De’Snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan.

This second part has become a true global phenomenon, with 1.8 billion dollars in revenue. It is now the biggest success in Disney Animation history.

As of yet, Disney has not given a release date for Zootopia 3. But one thing is already certain: Judy, Nick and Gary will be back.
