Demon Slayer: The Infinite Fortress achieves the best start of the year in France
More than 300,000 fans have already gone to see the infinite fortress in theaters.
The phenomenon cannot be denied.
Demon Slayer did not disappoint his armies of fans. With its new feature film The infinite fortressdirected by Haruo Sotozaki according to the manga of Koyoharu Gotouge, the anime made a canon launch at the French box office. From the first day, the film brought together nearly 340,000 spectators in 690 rooms, the best start -up of 2025 in France.
A performance carried by an aggressive strategy: no less than 135,000 admissions have been garnered thanks to a wide preview wave. Which allows Demon Slayer to do better than Lilo & Stitch (Live-Action version), which so far held the record of the year with 260,000 tickets sold last May. With an impressive average of 297 spectators per copy, the Japanese blockbuster promises to be one of the heavyweights of the new school year.
